I have been training retrievers professionally for 10 years here in North Carolina.  During this time, I have titled over 50 AKC Master Hunters, and I have done the young dog work on numerous AKC Field Champions.  As much as I enjoy working with great Labs, I also like working with the “other” retriever breeds.  In fact, I trained and handled a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, FC Colonial’s Outer Banks Winchester MH (Chester), to his Master Hunter title when he was only 18 months old.   In addition to training retrievers, I train owners/handlers as well.  It is very rewarding to see a person successfully navigate their dog through a Hunt Test or Field Trial. 

I have access to many different training grounds and I like to mix it up as much as possible so that the dogs can get used to seeing different things and working in different situations.  I think this is very important to their overall development and success.   I strive to produce a well developed and stylish retriever.  Please feel free to call and come out to train or watch sometime.
